Douglas Jung becomes first Chinese-Canadian MP

Douglas Jung, representing Vancouver Centre, was the first Chinese Canadian who won election as a Member of Parliament. He lost his seat in 1962, and for over a decade, there was no Chinese-Canadian MP in Ottawa until Arthur Lee was elected in Vancouver East in 1974.
