Miss Morgan’s Chinese Girls’ Home established

Miss Morgan’s Chinese Girls’ Home was established in Victoria to help women leave the sex trade. The home was supported by the Women’s Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church. The home assisted 40 Chinese and 8 Japanese girls and women between 1888 and 1902, on the condition that they become baptised and accept the Methodist faith. (GM, 83)
